By the end of Year 6, pupils can use a range of techniques, evaluate their work and talk confidently about artistic choices. They understand how art communicates ideas and can work creatively, imaginatively and with increasing control.
Offer simple creative opportunities — drawing, painting, building or crafting. Visit galleries, look at artwork online and encourage conversations about colours, shapes and styles.
