We offer funded nursery places for children aged three and above, with a strong focus on play, language development and learning through exploration.
Ivydale Nursery offers the equivalent of 30 full-time places each year for children aged three and above.
Children usually start nursery in September after their third birthday. If a place becomes available earlier, we may contact families to see if they would like their child to start sooner.
We offer a combination of 15-hour and 30-hour funded places, depending on eligibility and availability.
Ivydale Nursery offers 15-hour and 30-hour places for children aged three and above. Children attending full time are in nursery five days a week from 8:50am to 3:20pm, while part-time places are offered over two and a half days, with Wednesday as a half day.
We also offer wrap around care from 7.45-6pm.
All children are entitled to 15 hours of free early education from the term after they turn three, and some families may be eligible for 30 hours. Every nursery day includes a free hot school meal, with further details shared once a place has been offered.
Applying for a nursery place at Ivydale is simple. You can register your child from the age of two by collecting an application form from the school office. Applications for a September start close in mid-March, and families are informed of the outcome by the end of March.
If your application is not successful, your child will be placed on the waiting list, and the school office is always happy to offer guidance or answer any questions along the way.
