We're here to listen
We know that good communication means that we all achieve the best for our children–that is why we are determined to continue to improve the way that we communicate.
Communication is a two-way process. At Ivydale, we expect all communication between families and staff to be timely, polite and professional. If at any point either party feels uncomfortable, communication should be paused and, where necessary, shared with the appropriate member of staff so concerns can be addressed properly.
Throughout the year, there are several opportunities to talk with your child’s class teacher. In the Autumn term, families are invited to a presentation outlining what will be covered during the year, followed by a one-to-one parent meeting. A further one-to-one meeting takes place in the Spring term. In the Summer term, families are invited to a school open evening, providing another opportunity to engage with your child’s learning and school life.
Teachers and members of the Core Leadership Team are also available on the playground at drop-off and pick-up times. We recognise that this may not be convenient for all families, so staff can also be contacted by email to arrange a conversation at a suitable time.
