Nursery and Reception have thoroughly enjoyed watching the eggs hatch and observing the chicks grow over the past few days. The children were fascinated to see the changes each day, from tiny cracks appearing in the shells to the fluffy chicks finding their feet and becoming more active.
This hands-on experience sparked lots of curiosity and conversation, with children asking thoughtful questions and learning about life cycles, growth, and how to care for living things. It has been a wonderful opportunity to bring learning to life in such an engaging way. Children from higher up the school also enjoyed their visits to the chicks.
Today, we said a fond farewell as the chicks were collected and taken to begin their new life on the farm.
Many thaks to ILOF for funding this amazing experience.
